Points to Ponder
Thank you!
We are blessed to have many generous supporters in our parish. Many people have increased their giving even before we have asked.
We are grateful for all who have donated financial resources and countless volunteer hours here at Christ the King!

Our Current Trend is Critical
The Immediate Need
We are currently depleting our savings at a rate of about $100,000 per year. This is not sustainable. While it can never be “all about the money,” in practical terms we need to be fiscally healthy. Our “new church” has reached an age when things start to wear out. We have spent $400,000 on necessary major repairs over the last three years. At this point, we anticipate that we will need to replace several HVAC units totaling $300,000.
Expanding our Ministries and Mission
People come to us in need of financial, spiritual and emotional support. Our goal is to tithe 5% of the parish collection to directly help those most in need. Our whole family catechesis program serves 200+ families each month, with the potential to reach even more. We are always in need of more activities and service opportunities for our young church.
Catholic Giving Guidelines
Data shows that most Catholics in general contribute less than 1% of gross household income, while Protestants donate more than 2% and Evangelicals contribute 5%. Each person must prayerfully decide on their contribution level. You may find this chart a helpful guide.
