FAQs

  • Will our parish remain open?

    There is no diocesan plan in place for closing parishes.  We are a parish simply in need of improved cash flow.

  • Is there a way to reduce costs?

    We have reduced non-essential expenditures and share our clergy costs with our sister parish. Staff and benefits remain our major expense. We have added volunteer staff where we can.

  • Will my weekly donation be used to run the parish, or to settle abuse claims and the bankruptcy?

    Donations go first to covering the day to day costs of running the parish.  Our collections currently do not cover those costs and increased collections will be used by the parish.

  • Can I still use my Building Maintenance Envelope?

    Yes. Those donations are restricted for that specific purpose.

  • What is the status of the Re-Igniting our Faith (RIOF) funds?

    Those funds remain safely in a restricted account and cannot be used for general operating expenses, nor are they accessible for the bankruptcy.  These funds can only be used for the purposes originally defined in our plan.

  • Can I still use envelopes?

    Yes. If you would like to use envelopes contact the office.

  • Can I donate electronically?

    Yes.  We utilize E-Giving with ParishSOFT. You may also use other apps provided through your own bank (eg Zelle)
