The Grateful Giving Campaign

The parish of Christ the King offers everyone an encounter with Jesus Christ and an invitation to carry His message to our families, friends, workplaces, and community. We are like Peter, James and John, who, at the Transfiguration, had a life-changing encounter with the Divine and then came down the mountain to join in Jesus’s ministry to everyone.

For the last two years we have seen more and more people attending Mass and fulfilling our mission. It is a wonderful sight to behold, and I am very grateful. However, after studying the most recent Annual Report, it is clear that while we have vibrant ministries, we are struggling to fund them. Our collections have not kept pace with inflation, nor do they reflect the 40% increase in our weekly attendance over the last 4 years. Based on the Re-Made for Mission synodal discussions, and after consulting with the trustees, finance council and pastoral council, the time has come to boldly address our financial situation and ask for your generosity. Therefore, we are engaging in a “Grateful Giving Campaign” to encourage increased donations to our regular offertory collections, ensuring that Christ the King can fulfill our Mission. We need everyone’s help. Please review the Giving Guidelines and prayerfully consider a weekly tithe.

Prayer: Collect for the Mass for the Holy Church

O God, who in your wonderful providence decreed that Christ’s kingdom should be extended throughout the earth and that all should become partakers of his saving redemption, grant, we pray, that your Church may be the universal sacrament of salvation and that Christ may be revealed to all as the hope of the nations and their Savior, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.
